MFA Elite Corporate League: UBI hold HDFC to a 1-1 draw
In an end to end MFA Elite league encounter, HDFC and UBI ended up sharing the spoils and settle with one point each.
HDFC had a poor start to the game with UBI looking well in control of the possession and fashioning couple of good chances. Early in the game a cross from the right flank was headed just over by Saurabh. However, in the 24th minute, Saurabh was on target as he capitalized over a defensive error by HDFC to run away with the ball and make it 1-0.
HDFC found their rhythm soon enough and started coming back into the game with couple of attacking moves. In the 32nd minute, HDFC got a free-kick outside the box on the right flank. From tight angle, Girish Solanki’s strike made a perfect dip, beating everyone to find the net. The goal meant both sides entered the break with the scores level.
In the second half, HDFC started dominating the possession and creating flurry of chancess, however the failed to break UBI defense as the score remained at 1-1. HDFC were rather themselves to blame being quite error prone in attack missing couple of rather guilt edge chances. At the other end, UBI Goalkeeper Vivek Tiwari was on top of his game pulling off some really good saves.
In the final moments of the game, both sides continued their attack as end to end football ensued. Eventually neither side managed to break the deadlock as the game ended 1-1
