The Indian Khelo Football (IKF) Workshop returns to Mumbai this September, bringing with it an exceptional platform for aspiring footballers to showcase their skills and seize opportunities that could transform their careers.

Now in its fourth season, the IKF Workshop has already made a significant impact on the football landscape in India, creating pathways for young players to enter professional circuits both domestically and internationally.

The IKF Trials is well known program that was started with just 17 cities and over 2,000 participants in 1st year, IKF’s reach has expanded tremendously. The second season saw participation from 40 cities with over 5,000 young footballers. By the third season, IKF covered 58 cities, with more than 10,000 participants. These events attracted scouts from 24 Indian Super League (ISL) and I-League clubs and top academies- eager to scout the next big football talent.

The IKF workshop serves as a launch pad for young athletes to make a name for themselves, providing exposure to professional clubs and direct entry into advanced football training programs. Premier League academy scouts & agents will come to India to do technical assessment and provide feedback to aspiring Indian football players. They will also be recommending players who will be then showcased to International academies for 100% scholarship seats.

Take the example of Shubham Navelkar, a Mumbai-based player who reached the national finals of the Season 3 workshop. Recognized for his outstanding potential, he was scouted by the International Football Academy de Portugal under a scholarship program, giving him the opportunity to train at one of Europe’s reputed football institutions.

Similarly, Aayansh Mulley from Maharashtra was scouted by the Football School of India and is now actively playing in the MFA Youth Leagues on a scholarship. Neel Khandeparker’s story is another inspiring one—he was selected by Buckswood School, United Kingdom, showcasing how IKF is bridging the gap between local talent and global platforms.

This week the IKF workshop in Mumbai is being conducted in association with Sportsfort
