Mumbai DFA & SGFI-1 enter the girl’s category final
Mumbai: The girl’s teams from Mumbai DFA and the SGFI-1 (School Games Federation of India) have won their semi-final games on Sunday, May 7 and they will play in the girl’s category final match (Tuesday, May 9) of the OORJA – CAPFs Under-19 Football Talent Hunt 2017, played for the Olympian S.S. Narayan Trophy, at the RCFL ground, Chembur.
In the semi-final 1, SGFI played very well and defeated Pune DFA by scoring three against conceding two goals and to finish as the winners. The SGFI player who were the scorers wasPranali Shetty (2 goals), Jyothi Mehra (1 goal) and Mata Acharaya (1 goal). Pune DFA scorers was Smriti Girish (1 goal) and Sonali Chemete (1 goal). SGFI player Pranali Shetty won the ‘Best Player of the Match’ prize.
In the semi-final 2, the Mumbai DFA girls defeated Football Leaders by a big 7-0 scoreline. The main players who scored the goals for the Mumbai team was Bhagyashree Dalvi (2 goals), Karen Pais (2 goals) and Aditi Shetty (2 goals) and also Shemlhui (1 goal). Mumbai DFA player Aditi Shetty won the ‘Best Player of the Match’ prize.
