The blues have been found failing to finish of good moves and this could be just the right time to bring in an experienced forward in Marjan Jugovic

33-year old Siberian striker Marjan Jugovic has signed for defending champions Bengaluru FC till the end of the season. The forward replaces Honduran Roby Norales, who was loaned out to Ozone FC earlier this month, as a fourth foreign recruit.

Widely travelled Jugovic has previously pled his trade in Europe and Middle East turning out for clubs from Serbia, Poland, Indonesia, Iceland and Lebanon to name few. Jugovic has also experienced UEFA Europa league and AFC cup football for his previous clubs.

Bengaluru has been guilty of missing many guilt edged chances in the final third, which has resulted in lack of goals for the club in last few games which was also reflected by Blues coach Albert Roca, “We hope the arrival of Marjan will add impetus to our attacking department. Tall, proper target man with a very handy experience gathered across continents. We have been creating so many chances but have struggled to put them away and Marjan’s got his task cut out. I’m sure he will help get our season back on track.”

I hope to help the team have a successful finish to the season and will be giving my 100% to the fans, my teammates and the club. I was at the stadium on Saturday and saw the passion of the fans and I’m very excited to play for them,”

Jugovic last played for Lebanese club Al-Akhaa Al-Ahli Aley scoring 18 goals in 31 appearances. The striker could make an immediate start for the club in their game against Minerva Punjab this Sunday, March 5.
