Ambernath United - Bombay Muslims MYJ-GMSC

In an one sided football match between MYJ-GMSC and Ambernath United – Bombay Muslims, the former showcased a dominant display of football to secure a comfortable 8-0 win.

MYJ-GMSC took an early lead in the first minute as Shamer collected the ball and swiftly netted it, giving MYJ a 1-0 first minute advantage. The excitement continued and MYJGMSC almost doubled their lead immediately when Shamer found a clear chance after good early move, but his shot missed the target, keeping the score locked at 1-0. Ambernath United – Bombay Muslims down to 10 men showed enough patience and determinationafter the early hiccup to hold off MYJ GMSC for majority of the game.

Shanon then had an opportunity to score a further lead, but the stand-in opposing keeper Venkatesh made a crucial save, denying the mighty lions completely from extending their lead. Finally at the stroke of half-time, a free-kick executed by Kamlesh (Captain) saw Akshay directing the ball into the nets, cementing a 2-0 lead for MYJ-GMSC.

As the second half unfolded, MYJ maintained their dominance on the field by continuing their onslaught. In early moments of second half, a brilliant display by Dipu resulted in him beating the Ambernath defenders and scoring, extending the lead to 3-0.

Shamer then missed an extremely close opportunity to score as his shot winded up hitting the post instead of the target, but Manuel Dsouza seized the opportunity inside the box, confidently shooting past the keeper to take the lead to 4-0. The synergy between MYJ’s players persisted as Shamer then found Dipu inside the box with a well timed pass, the latter notching another goal and extending the lead to 5-0.

Minutes later, Dipu once again produced clinical finish to complete a quick fire hattrick. As the game wore on, another substitute Jay Bhavnani got into goal scoring act with a well executed header from a corner opportunity, bringing the score to an impressive 7-0. The dynamic play continued as MYJ’s Keegan Pereira then delivered a precise pass from the left wing, to find Jay, who executed a header, concluding the match with a resounding 8-0 victory for MYJ over Ambernath United as the final whistle rang.

The win takes MYJ-GMSC back to 2nd position in the league table with 22 points from 8 games. Millat continue to lead the table with 26 points from 10 games
