MFA announce Mumbai squad for WIFA Inter-District Championship

Mumbai Football Association has announced the squad for the Mumbai district team that will travel to Pune for the upcoming WIFA Inter-District Championship

Fielding a solid squad of players with I League Qualifiers and Santosh Trophy experience Mumbai Football Association has made their intention clear to go for the title. With the likes of Arif Shaikh, Himanshu Patil, Denzil Mascarenhas, Johnson Mathew and others, the team has a good mixture of both youth and experience.

With former India International and Mumbai Football legends, Steven Dias and Henry Picardo at the helm, Mumbai looks like it to be one of the favorites for the competition. Steven has proven his coaching talent in the MFA Elite Division where he guided his team Ambernath United – Atlanta FC to two titles – MFA Elite Premier Champions and MFA Harwood Champions League. He also guided Mumbai Knights – MFA Women’s league team to the league title. Steven is yet to suffer a loss with either squad and a lot will expect from him in the upcoming WIFA competition

Defending champions Team Kolhapur and Last year’s Runner-up side Nagpur will be expected to give tough competition to Mumbai in their title quest.
