India Khelo Football complete Delhi round, will fly best candidates for sponsored European exposure

After consecutive days of exciting displays involving 250+ footballers from Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Himachal Pradesh, Max Life backed India Khelo Football Delhi U-14 Tournament powered by Football Delhi concluded on 14th March.

Starting from March 13, Max Life IKF drew 26 teams and the matches were played for 2 days. More than 250+ kids took part and showcased their footballing prowess. The event also involved 12 kids from the Afghan Refugee Camp, who fared well to put their talent in the forefront.

Speaking to Mr Ali Mujataba, admin of Khudayaar FC (Afghanistan), he was full of praise for the initiative undertaken by the team at India Khelo Football and the support by Max Life and Football Delhi.

“This is a great initiative. A well-organized event from Max Life IKF Delhi, where they have the potential to reach every corner of the country by their regional and city-level tournaments. It is an effective way to scout talent” apprised Mr Tauquib Zaidi, Managing Director of TZS Digital.

Bhaichung Bhutia Football School emerged victorious in IKF Delhi final after scripting a comprehensive victory against VIVA Football. The event was graced by the presence of Mr Harish Chandra (Senior coach, Sports Authority of India), who felicitated the winning teams. Kumar Arman of VIVA Football was adjudged the ‘Max Life Best Player’ followed by Michele M. Rajee from BBFS who won the ‘Best Goalkeeper Award’. Aditya Adhikari of VIVA Football topped the individual goals tally.

Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools will represent Delhi in Zonal Finals during August against City Winners of other North Zone participants. The Winners of the IKF National Tournament will fly to Europe on a sponsored trip to gain exposure and receive opportunities to appear for trials in major European Football Clubs.

IKF is scheduled to conduct U-14 football events in Kanpur at Green Park International Stadium in association with the J.N.T Organization on 20th March 2021.

In the coming months, tournaments will take place in multiple cities across India and the finals will take place in Mumbai. International scouting organizations like Pro Soccer Global and Perfect Football are actively scouting talents from the IKF events.

India Khelo Football in its vision to strengthen the grassroots football ecosystem of India has been working on a pool of initiatives to promote and develop the beautiful game in India.
