Palghar Pioneers Make History With Record-Breaking 33-0 Win in Women’s League Opener

Palghar, Maharashtra: Palghar Pioneers announced their arrival in emphatic fashion in the 2026-27 Palghar District Senior Women’s League, producing a historic 33-0 victory over Teresarian Football Academy in their opening match of the season.

The result is believed to be the highest-scoring match in the history of the Palghar League, surpassing the previous record from the men’s division, where a team recorded a 30-0 victory. According to Mitesh Patel of the Palghar District Football Association (PDFA), the Palghar Pioneers’ 33-goal performance has established a new benchmark for the competition.

The match was dominated from start to finish, with Palghar Pioneers combining relentless attacking football with a disciplined defensive display to complete the afternoon with a remarkable clean sheet.

Leading the historic goal rush was super striker Muskan Darjee, who produced an extraordinary individual performance by scoring 13 goals. Midfielder Charchang Rangmo added six goals, while experienced winger Habiba Inamdar contributed three.

Captain Sneha Minj and defender Sneha Lohar each found the net twice, with long-serving player Prajakta Pashte also scoring twice. Strong winger Yashita More added one goal, while centre-back Jyoti capped her performance with two goals. Teresarian Football Academy also conceded two own goals.

At the other end of the pitch, goalkeeper Gayatri Satoskar and the Palghar Pioneers defence ensured that the opposition could not find a way through, completing a memorable clean sheet on the opening day.

The Palghar Pioneers women’s team serves as a feeder team of Pune Pioneers Football Club, providing a competitive pathway for female players to develop through regular league football and progress within the wider Pune Pioneers football structure.

Speaking after the record-breaking victory, Pune Pioneers owner Ryan Roy Shah credited the players’ commitment and daily training for the performance.

“We are fortunate to have a dedicated bunch of very talented female players who train hard every day. Today’s scoreline was evidence of the daily grind they put into bettering themselves every day. We are aiming for WIFA Women’s State League qualification this season.”

While the 33-0 scoreline will inevitably attract attention, the Pioneers’ ambitions extend well beyond one remarkable result. The club is targeting qualification for the WIFA Women’s State League, with the Palghar District Women’s League serving as an important competitive platform for the squad.

For Muskan Darjee and her teammates, however, the opening day has already secured its place in Palghar football history. A 33-goal performance, a clean sheet and a new league scoring record have given Palghar Pioneers the perfect start to their 2026-27 campaign—and a clear statement of their ambitions for the season ahead.
