Nine men Income Tax hold Central bank

Down to nine men Income Tax manage to hold Central Bank to a 1-1 draw in MDFA Elite Division, while Super Division RSF come from goal down to beat Veniza FC
In what turned out to be a heavy physical encounter, cards flew out in numbers from referees pocket as the game saw ten bookings with two marching orders. The game began with end to end football where the first close chance came for Income Tax striker Mohammed Ishaq whose strike from distance came off the bar.
In the 13th minute, Tejas fouled Troy just outside the box to go into referee’s book. The resulting free-kick saw Troy’s curling effort beat the wall and keeper to find the net as bankers took the lead. The game slowed down bit till half-time as both sides looked to hold on to the ball. On restart, Sebastian Raj immediately brought IT back in to the game with the equalizer. A corner kick routine saw Sebastian beat his marker to head the ball past the keeper into the net at the near post.
Soon the game turned bit ugly as referee would begin doling out yellow cards. Midway through the second half, Tejas went for a 50-50 header ball but referee deemed it as foul and a second bookable offence to showed him the red card and the game’s first marching order. However, things turned even worse for IT, when goal scorer Sebastian was shown the red card few minutes to reduce IT down to nine men.
In the final quarter of the game, in search of a winning goal, CBI attacked with full force to capitalize on the two man advantage however some resolute defending meant IT walked away with the point as the game ended at 1-1 score line.

Meanwhile in Super Division, RSF came back strongly from a goal down to down Veniza FC 5-1 courtesy of Saumil Damor’s hat-trick and a brace from Suraj Thummar. After conceding in just the second minute of the game when Ayush Male’s shot found the back of net for Veniza FC, RSF responded immediately through a goal of their own in the 7th minute when Saumil found the back of net.
Suraj doubled the lead midway through the first half before Saumil came back with his second goal minutes before break. On restart, Suraj completed his brace as RSF extended their lead to three goals before Saumil put the game to bed with his third strike of the day in the 82nd minute. In other Super division fixture, RBI outclassed ICL with thumping 6-0 victory.
