Sahil Mukane hits brace as Salsette FC pick 3-1 win

Sahil Mukane brace propels Salsette FC to a comfortable 3-1 win in Elite Division while in Super Division Reliance Youth romped home to a 5-0 win

After cagey opening moments, Salsette FC took the lead when around the half hour mark, some good wing play saw a teasing ball from right flank finding an unmarked Sahil who slotted home to open the scoring.

Five minutes before break, Sahil doubled the lead after he latched on to a low ball from the left before producing a clinical finish past the keeper as Salsette went into break with two goal lead. On restart, dominance of Salsette continued as they tripled the lead courtesy of a strike from Sameer Sawant ten minutes into the second half.

In the dying minutes, Iron Born grabbed a consolation goal through a penalty after a player was brought down inside the box. Aman Manghi successfully converted his spot-kick to make it 3-1.

Meanwhile in Super Division, Reliance Youth’s high pressing game proved too good for Juhu sparks as the former romped home to  a 5-0 win while ESIC managed to edge Mumbai Ultra 2-1.
