MDFA distribute trophies for Season 2019-20

The Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) officially concluded 2019-20 Season by distributing trophies to all the Winners, Runner’s Up, and 2nd Runner’s Up of their six competitions in Cooperage Stadium, yesterday.

The event was graced by Mr. Aaditya Thackeray, the Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment Government of Maharashtra, who is also the President of MDFA. The other attendees were Mr Souter Vaz (Vice President of MDFA, General Secretary of WIFA), Pyarelal Choudhury (Hon. Treasurer of WIFA) and other key members of the fraternity.

Karnataka Sporting Association became the champions of MDFA Elite Private Group followed by Kenkre and Mumbai Strikers clinching the 2nd and 3rd position respectively. From the Elite Corporate tournament, Mumbai Customs emerged as winners followed by Bank of Baroda and Income Tax gaining the 2nd and 3rd positions.

From the MDFA Super Division, newly included Reliance Foundation Youth Champs proved their mettle by winning the tournament. Atlanta FC became the Runners Up followed by JMJ Sports Club and Air India jointly getting the 3rd spot.

Rudra FC became the Champions of the First Division whereas United Villagers and Young Guns FC notched the 2nd and 3rd position. The 2nd Division saw Boxer FA as winners followed by Mumbai Marines and OSSM claiming the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively. Dsouza Football Club became the champions of 3rd Division followed by Jeevies FC and Vipul Gorai FC clocking the 2nd and 3rd positions.

As per reports, if things fall in place the new season of the Mumbai District Football Association shall commence from January 2021.
