Mumbai: Sellebrity FC played plenty of grit and determination and managed to put it across Salcette FC by a tight 2-1 margin in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra.

After a cagey first half where both side had their chances, goals were hard to come by. After the break it was Salcette who drew first blood when Sameer Sawant’s strike found the back of the net around the hour mark. Ten minutes laer, Sellebrity FC were on level terms courtesy of Jayesh Sutar’s equalizer before Tushar Poojary struck a late blow to snatch a satisfying win for Sellebrity FC

Meanwhile Tuesday’s Elite division encounter saw RSF Spartans outclassing Bombay Muslims 2-0. Striker Gaurav Gawas and Arman Jirait were on target in the second half to seal all three points for their team.

Results – Elite Div: 

Sellebrity FC (Jayesh Sutar 69′, Tushar Poojary 86′) 2 – 1 Salcette FC (Sameer Sawant 59′)

RSF-Spartans (Gaurav Gawas 55′ Arman Jirait 85′) 2 – 0 Bombay Muslim
