After an even opening few minutes, Rossenburg crossed from the left flank which perfected headed into the net by Sanchit Singh Rajput to give Air India the lead. Soon Mumbai City started growing in to the game keeping ball possession better. Ten minutes later, they were soon rewarded when a cross of a corner kick was headed by Shreyas into the back of the net. Both sides entered the game at 1-1 score line.

Second half began with Air India off the blocks early in search of goal to take the lead. They were almost rewarded with a goal, when with an open goal at his mercy, Rishik Shetty headed over from a cross by Dion Menezes in a set piece situation. Few minutes later a powerful Johnson freekick was saved by Mumbai City keeper.

With few minute remaining, Rossenburg’s cross from the left flank met Yogesh Kadam header, which was saved by MCFC keeper. The rebound fell straight to Azza Noranni who made no mistake in heading the ball to goal to give his side the lead.

Team played really well today against a fit and young Mumbai City FC Side. We had our first training session yesterday only and played a match today. Mumbai City had really great young players and they all are U18 and they really have bright future for our country.
