Hero Elite League 2019-20: Kenkre showcase five-star performance
Kenkre FC smashed 5 goals past FC Mumbaikars in the curtain-raiser clash of the Hero Elite League 2019-20.
Kenkre scored their first goal through Silvester Sarao’s strike at the 28th minute. His only goal was the difference between both ends until the first half concluded.
What happened in the final 45 minutes was quite astonishing as FC Mumbaikars seemed clueless. Kenkre FC added 4 goals past their opponents. Aman Gaikwad found the netting through a penalty won at the 56th minute. Silvester Sarao was tackled inside the box which resulted in the spot-kick for Kenkre. Within a minute, Silvester completed his brace by scoring at the 57th minute through an amusing shot placed at the keeper’s left side.
Leading by 3 goals, Kenkre’s coach replaced midfielder Dwayne Pereira with defender Devanshu Saxena when the match was 63 minutes old. However, to everyone’s surprise, Devanshu went on to score at the 65th minute. Kenkre took a commendable 4 goal lead at the 65th minute. Inspired by his heroics, another defender, Girish Nadgivekar scored at the 69th minute to lead his team to a five-star performance. FC Mumbaikars consoled themselves by scoring their only goal at the 75th minute through Neel Devanand Kadam’s strike.
