Century Rayon romp to easy 6-1 victory

century rayon

Mumbai, August 27: Century Rayon proved too good for Atlanta FC as they stormed to a facile 6-1 win in a Group-A league match of the MDFA Nadkarni Cup football tournament 2019 and played at the Cooperage ground on Tuesday.

Century Rayon showed excellent teamwork to outplay their opponents. They were well-served by strikers Zingshepam Lungleng, Venkatesh Tolimala, Sheng Sheng, Sunil Mani, Janal Kumar Mandvi and Thalchan Vashum, all contributing with a goal each while Atlanta FC pulled one back through Aditya Kerkar.

It is great to see the team doing well (picking 2 wins in 2 games). Team is not set yet but we are moving in that direction. Our next match will be against Iron Born FC, we have heard they are a young fit side but we will be prepared for it. The team is looking good so we are aiming to reach the finals of Nadkarni Cup, this season.

– Century Coach Tirath Singh

Results – Group-A: Century Rayon SC 6 (Zingshepam Lungleng, Venkatesh Tolimala, Sheng Sheng, Sunil Mani, Janal Kumar Mandvi, Thalchan Vashum) beat Atlanta FC 1 (Aditya Kerkar).
