KSA Adv Kudrolli football tournament: Roger Sam slams four in Karnataka’s victory

Mumbai: Opportunistic striker Roger Sam showed good finishing touches as he struck four goals to power Karnataka Sports Club to a convincing 7-1 win against Bombay Fort Sports Club in a first round match of the Karnataka Sporting Association organised 12th Late Adv. A.R. Kudrolli Memorial knockout football tournament 2018 and played at the KSA ground, Cross Maidan.

Sam received excellent support from Amey Bhatkal who contributed with two goals and Sagar Salian with one strike as Karnataka SC stormed to victory and a place in the second round. Bombay Fort managed to score the lone goal through Ravikiran Shetty’s efforts.

In the first match of the day, Union Sports Club registered a comfortable victory over Shree Krishna Sports Club, romping to 4-0 win.

Leading Union SC’s charge was striker Rupesh Shetty who scored a brace of goals while Akshay Devadiga and Kunal Shriyan chipped in with one apiece to seal the team’s victory and progress to the netx round.

Results (1st round): Union SC 4 (Rupesh Shetty 2, Akshay Devadiga 1, Kunal Shriyan 1) beat Shree Krishna SC 0.

Karnataka SC 7 (Roger Sam 4, Amey Bhatkal 2, Sagar Salian 1) beat Bombay Fort SC 1 (Ravikiran Shetty 1).
