KSA ADV Kudrolli football tournament: Pawar nets two in Udaya’s easy win

Siddu Pawar’s double strikes were the highlight of Udaya SC’s perfect 3-0 win against Saraswati SC in a first round match of the Karnataka Sporting Association organised 12th Late Adv. A.R. Kudrolli Memorial knockout football tournament 2018 and played at the KSA ground, Cross Maidan.

Udaya SC dominated play from the start and Pawar put them in the lead with a snap effort in the sixth minute before Clive Coutinho doubled the lead with a strike in the 15th minute and they went into the break with a 2-0 advantage. After switching ends, Pawar struck his second and the team’s third goal in the 56th minute.

In another match, Kanara Bros SC recorded an identical 3-0 win against beat Jawahar Young Boys SC. Kanara Bros showed good understanding and teamwork to outshine their opponents. Nilesh Rathod opened the account by scoring the first goal in the 35th minute and 10 minutes later Akash Rathod scored the second goal. Deepak Chavan scored the third goal in the 59th minute to complete the winning tally.

Results (1st round): Kanara Bros. SC 3 (Nilesh Rathod 1, Akash Rathod 1, Deepak Chavan 1) beat Jawahar Young Boys SC 0.

Udaya SC 3 (Siddu Pawar 2, Clive Coutinho 1) beat Saraswati SC 0.
