24th March 2018, Mumbai: On Saturday, two evening matches were played at the St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel. Erhard Fernandes was on the mark again for Das Football Academy in their fine 3-1 win, whereas, Classic Sports Club held KNFC in a 1-1 draw.
Group B: Das Football Academy (Yash Agre 4′ and Erhard Fernandes 14′ & 23′) 3-1 SRS Sporting (Hussain Ghadiyalli 32′)
After suffering a defeat at the hands of Silver Innings FC in their opening play-off game, Das Football Academy peaked at the right time to overcome SRS Sporting 3-1 which secured their second consecutive win of the ongoing play-off league. On the other hand, SRS Sporting suffered their first defeat after winning two games in a row.
Yash Agre opened the scoring in the 4th minute before Erhard Fernandes scored twice in the 14th and 23rd minute respectively to put Das Football Academy 3-0 up. Hussain Ghadiyalli cut short the deficit in the 32nd minute but it hardly changed the outcome as Das Football ended up winning the game.

KNFC had to settle for a draw in their first match in a thrilling 2-2 contest against Bombay YMCA where two late goals from Sanket Kamble and Shoaib Shah salvaged a point for Salim Khan’s side. Yesterday, after taking an early lead through Sagar Gamare’s well-struck goal in the 20th minute, KNFC conceded a goal in the 61st minute through Tarique Shaikh’s sublime finish which salvaged another draw for KNFC.
