Air India look to maintain their hundred percent record

3rd April 2018, Mumbai: On Wednesday evening at Cooperage Stadium, Air India will look to maintain their hundred percent record this season when relegation battlers PIFA Colaba will encounter them in the MDFA Elite Division match. The defending champions are currently on an eight-match winning run and yet to drop a single point in the campaign while PIFA is third from bottom with only one win in eight games so far.

Air India is marching towards the game on the back of a mammoth 8-0 triumph over Kenkre FC. Prolific and easily the best striker in Mumbai right now, Pratik Koli bagged a superb hat-trick while former Mumbai FC’s midfielder Steven Dias netted a brace in what was Air India’s best performance of the season.

The fascinating thing about Air India this season is their young core of players has stepped up when mattered. Throughout the season, Pratik Koli has been getting a brilliant service from his teammates which is one of the sole reason behind Pratik’s lethal form.

Meanwhile, PIFA surrendered their 1-0 lead against KSA (Karnataka Sports Association) last week as they conceded two late goals in a 3-1 defeat. Throughout the game, PIFA gave a tough fight after showcasing grit and determination but in the end, they ran out of energy to an experienced side.

Even a draw against Air India will help PIFA Colaba with Century Rayon and Kenkre FC just below them in the relegation zone. With Air India vs ONGC still to be played, it is an equally important game for the defending champions.
