Borivali Premier League returns for its 3rd edition

After the success of the first two edition, Borivali premier League has returned for the 3rd season with more teams and more matches.

After the success of the first two editions, Borivali premier League has returned for the 3rd season with more teams and more matches.

Twelve teams (four more than the first two editions) will battle it out for the top honours in the 3rd edition of Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL), organized by the Borivali Sports Foundation to be played at the St. Francis D’Assissi Ground, Borivali (W), from Saturday, June 16, 2018 to August 15, 2018.

The tournament has been spread across two months with all the matches to be held on Weekends. Teams will be divided in to two groups with the top 2 of each, playing a semi-final. Every game will be played in accordance to FIFA law with a man of the match award to be given after each game, while at the end of the tournament various other Individual awards like Best Goalkeeper, ‘Golden Ball – Highest Scorer’, ‘Best Defender’, Player of the Tournament etc too will be given.

The 12 participating teams which would be seen in action include,

  2. Milan Club
  3. Maryland United
  4. Ruthless
  5. Challengers FC
  6. Myrmidons Sporting Club
  7. Gorai FC
  8. Vibrant FC
  9. KFC
  10. Friends United FC
  11. Shelar FC
  12. ND2 Soccer Starz

The tournament would witness top level players who are playing with I-League clubs and the MDFA Elite Division, Super Division and lower division clubs.

Details of the events are as under

  1. Event: BORIVALI PREMIER FOOTBALL LEAGUE (3rd Edition)
  2. Age Group: Open
  3. Date: Commencing from 16th June 2018 to 15th August 2018
  4. Duration: Time: 7:30 am to 6.00 pm (Saturdays – Morning 2 matches & Sundays full day)
  5. Venue: Francis D’Assisi School ground at I C Colony, Borivali (W).
