Veniza Virar F.C cruise to a win over Blitz Krieg F.C

Veniza Virar F.C

2nd January 2017, Mumbai: The first match of 2017 was made memorable as Veniza Virar F.C wearing the yellow jersey cruise to a win over Blitz Krieg F.C in the Red outfit on 2nd January 2017, Goans Ground in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), First Division match from Group C.

It was the Virar side dominating the play which got Lekhraj Kotian Jersey no. 10 in the 15th minute score a screamer as he fired in a powerful long-range shot from the right flank, as they were not done yet, in the 31st minute Akshay Poojary Jersey no.5 doubles the score as he ruthlessly fires in a shot from the centre just outside the box which went in from between the legs of the keeper.

A brace came in for Lekhraj Kotian in the 38th minute as he founds the ball which put in from the left flank who taps in past the keeper to make it three as the 3-0 scoreline in the first half was carried out to be the same after the full-time whistle as well.

The yellow team looked like they would run away with more goals in the second half but were held tight by the trailing side which was still found to be a convincing result for the Virar side as they capitalised well from the errors of their opponent as they sit in 3rd place with 8 points.

Blitz Krieg FC needs to think about what they were lacking and improve on it for their next match as they have earned 6 points from 6 matches standing 8th in the Group table.
