Mumbai Port Trust seals it over Jupiter S.C

Skorost United

2nd January 2017, Mumbai: Mumbai Port Trust in dark blue scored two and conceded one against Jupiter S.C wearing maroon colour in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) First Division match held in St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel.

In the 31st minute, Perei Shokwangnao from the left wing dribbled into the box who crossed low ball which met Ubaid Ansari just in front of the goal near the first post as he tapped it in to make it 1-0 in favour of the dark blue side resulting in a half time scoreline as the same.

Mangesh Dhavne in the 45th minute from the right flank dribbled effortlessly against three Port Trust defenders and banged it past the keeper in the near post scoring an equaliser for his team.

However, in the 54th minute a counter attack for the team in the blues proved helpful as Merrick Fernandes from the Ports was brought down by Marlon Fonseca from behind resulting in a penalty taken by Savio Rodrigues who puts them ahead again in the 57th minute.

Full time score line resulted as Mumbai Port Trust 2-1 Jupiter S.C.

The winning side have now earned 16 points standing 1st and the trailing side failed to stay ahead as they have 14 points standing 2nd in Group A.
