Skorost United hit Sahar Silver Star with a 2-0 win

Skorost United

2nd January 2017, Mumbai: On Monday 2nd January 2017, Skorost Utd in the yellow outfit overcome a resilient Sahar Silver Star side in the green colour jersey to a 2-0 win in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) Second Division match Group I held at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel.

Both Skorost Utd & Sahar Silver Star started with a cautious approach until half time as it ended up in a goalless scoreline.

Second half pep talk worked really well for the team in yellow as in the 50th minute a free kick was awarded to them just outside the box, Karthik Kamat Jersey no.3 makes it count as he puts in a beautiful shot in the right-hand side of the top bracket leaving the keeper no chance but collect it from the back of the net in the 51st minute.

Counter attack for the winning side in the 69th minute which doubled the lead as Abhay Amin Jersey no.14 dribbles well in the box to fed in a low cross to Vikas Sonamane who was found unmarked, tapped in an open goal.

Both the goals came in the second half resulted in grabbing all 3 points for Skorost Utd as they are now topping the Group I table with 6 points and Sahar Silver Star are yet to earn a point as they are standing 6th in the table just inside the relegation zone.
