In Aditya Bane, Bombay FC have a potent weapon

Bombay FC turned an early deficit into a 2-1 win against Mellwall FC in the 1st Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) on Tuesday evening. In a comeback which seemed coming ever since Bombay FC fell behind, there was one player who stood out for Bombay FC. Striker Aditya Bane not just scored the equalising goal for Bombay FC but terrorized the back four of Mellwall all evening long.

The light was fading quick and fast in the second half, after the game had a delayed start by an hour. But in contrast, Aditya Bane became brighter and brighter as the evening progressed and showed Bombay FC the light after a dull start.

Aditya Bane has some pace and rarely has one seen a player which has just breezed past defenders with decent pace themselves with so much easy. He was constant menace for the two Mellwall centre backs thanks to his killer pace that the duo was always on the look out for him when they lost the ball.

In addition to an unmatchable pace, Bane’s off the ball movement was equally impeccable. He unsettled the Mellwall defenders completely and made them panic. Bane was brought down on the edge of the box for the freekick which resulted in the second goal, after once again he earned a stride over his opponent leaving him reeling and with no option but to foul Bane.

But it was the first goal which was scored by Aditya Bane himself, which was a true exhibition of his abilities. Bane made a darting run in the space between two defnders and was picked out by an equally good pass from midfield. But such was Bane’s pace that there was no catching him once passed the last line of defence. But with the job only half done, Bane kept his composure well and coolly slotted past the goalkeeper. It was a goal any striker would be proud to score.

Aditya Bane was instrumental for Bombay FC in mounting a comeback and will be a player to watch out for in the games to come for defenders facing him. Bombay FC on the other hand will be hoping their potent weapon grows from strength to strength as they bid to climb up the ladder into the Super Division.
