Arif Shaikh’s brace leads 10 Man Ambernath Utd – Atlanta FC to another comfortable win

13 in 13! Despite being down to 10 men, Ambernath United – Atlanta FC managed to continue their winning streak as they beat DK Pharma 3-0
Continuing their rich vein of form, Ambernath Utd – Atlanta FC sailed past a spirited DK Pharma to notch their 13th win in a row.
Dominating the early parts of the game, AUA FC won a penalty after a foul in the box. However, DK Pharma Goalkeeper Mohammed Shahnas pulled off a brilliant save to deny Alister as the score remained 0-0. However, in the 16th minute, Alister made up for his earlier miss by breaking the deadlock with the simplest of tap-in after Rohith KS’s cutback from the left.
As the game went deeper, AUA FC found their mojo in full flow as Arif Shaikh doubled the lead in the 41st minute with a beautiful header off a cross from Aaron D’Costa from the Right flank.
Deep in the injury time of the first half, DK Pharma created their best chance after their forward who had managed to beat his marker was brought down by the last defender Umesh Perambra. The referee wasted no time in giving him the marching orders as AUA FC went down to 10 men at the end of the first half.
Despite the man down, Ambernath continued to be better on possession creating a couple of good chances for themselves. In the 65th minute, Arif made it 3-0 with a clinical finish to complete his brace.
At the other end, Goalkeeper Manoj Gupta made a few crucial saves to deny the DK Pharma attack any sniff on goal as Ambernath United Atlanta FC maintained another clean sheet on their way to a 3-0 win.
FT: Ambernath United Atlanta FC (Alister Anthony 16’, Arif Shaikh 41’, 65’) 3 – 0 DK Pharma
