J.J. Welfare overcome Jambori S.C. challenge
J.J Welfare or Soccer Competition came back from behind to equalize and Nilesh Chauhan scored in the extra time to register a 3-2 win against Jambori S.C. in the ongoing 3rd Division Qualifiers of Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA).
Jambori S.C. we’re dominant from the kick off and Aatish managed to score for them in the 5th minute itself. Jambori defense made one mistake and Abhishek Chomal of Soccer Competition quickly utilized that opportunity and equalized.
The equalizer helped Soccer Competition players regain confidence and their ball possession improved but with the start of 2nd half Jambori S.C. took the lead again after Jay’s strike.
This provoked Chauhan Chhagan to enter as a substitute (he has worked to promote J.J. Welfare once the finalists of 3rd Division to contest again after 8 years).
His arrival was followed by goals as Abbas Rizvi equalized in the 46th minute with a header and the epic last minute goal by Nilesh Chauhan boosted J.J. Welfare to the next round by deafeating Jambori S.C. 3-2.
