Indi Italia romp to glory in the SNFC & OMFG.in Cup 2015

Indi Italia cruised to glory with a 4-0 thrashing of Any MJ FC in the Final game of the SNFC and OMFG.in Cup 2015 held at the Nahur ground on Sunday, 12th July 2015.
The Indi Italians enjoyed an advantage over their opponents Any MJ in the Final as they were fresh having a day’s rest ahead of the final, while Any MJ had played four games on the same day before getting into the Final.
There few signs of fatigue among the Any MJ side as they were toe to toe with the Indi Italians and had a great chance to take the lead early on.
But a lovely passing move saw the Indi Italians open up the Any MJ defence as Akash Jain struck the opening goal for the Men in White.
Any MJ has an instant opportunity to restore parity when their effort flew inches over the crossbar. Indi Italians who were extremely clinical in their play punished Any MJ as they bagged a second goal before half time.
Facing a mountain to climb in the second half, Any MJ started the second half brightly but were soon hit by the sucker punch as Indi Italia made it 3-0. A terrific fourth goal sealed an emphatic win for the Indi Italians.
Tejas Bagayatkar, Akshay Devadiga and Tushar Nikam were the other scorers for the Indi Italians.
Despite losing the final by a big margin, it was a valiant effort from the Men in Blue to get the title. Having played five games in one day, they displayed great abilities as a football team.
Another team which impressed in the tournament was JJ FC who suffered shootout agony in the semi finals against Any MJ. JJ were a highly disciplined side and knocked out the hosts SNFC en-route to the semi-finals.
The tournament had some thrilling games which entertained a fair amount of crowd gathered around the ground. They certainly had a good time enjoying the football on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
SNFC and OMFG.in did a great job to plan and execute a truly wonderful tournament over the two days, allowing thirty two teams to participate as no one missed out.
