Olaide shines with hat-trick
Indian Cultural League (ICL)-Payyade SC rode of the brilliance of striker Olaide Amossn who notched up a fine hat-trick to snatch a 3-2 win against FSI Sea View SC in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Saturday.
Olaide put ICL in front in the 13th minute before Kaustabh pulled one back for FSI within few minutes. It was not until midway through the second half that ICL Payyade found control of the game with 2 quick goals within five minutes from Olaide. Riddhesh Bakhle reduced the deficit to one goal in the 84th minute thereby setting up an interesting final few minutes. However ICL Payyade held on to the lead as the game ended 3-2 in their favour.
Meanwhile, Malek Sajidmua scored the winner in leading Alpha FA to a narrow 1-0 win against Spartans FA in a Second Division encounter, at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.
