Income Tax ride on Sandesh, Henderson Hat-tricks in a 7-1 rout of Central Railway

Sandesh, Henderson hat-tricks lifts Income Tax to 7-1 win while in other Elite Division encounter UBI defeat Bank of India 2-0
Mumbai, December 13: In a pretty lopsided affair Income Tax brushed past Central Railway with a dominating 7-1 Victory. The first goal came of some good work in flanks by Bryce whose cross was poorly cleared by Central Railway defender, the ball fell to Sandesh Just outside the box whose first time shot nestle into the back of the net.
At the other end, an error from Thapa was well capitalized by Shaifiq whose set it up Shabaz Pathan who made no mistake in dispatching the ball past the keeper to put the game back on level pegging. Around the 22nd minute mark, Income Tax retook the lead when a cross from Ashish Pawaskar was well headed in to the net by Sandesh. Minutes before half-time, Skipper Francisco sent a brilliant through ball for Bryce whose cut-back was met by Henderson’s shot to make it 3-1.
In the 2nd half, Central Railway came out eager in search of goals however it was Income Tax, who scored the next goal when Bryce’s pinpoint corner-kick was headed into the back of the net by Henderson. Minutes after the hour mark, Sandesh Gadkari completed his hat-trick from a good cross off Substitue Madan. At the other end, Central Railway won a penalty but Shabaz Pathan was unable to convert it. Meanwhile Central Railway Goalkeeper was shown a direct card for bringing down a player inside the box. The resulting Penalty-kick saw Henderson Diaz completing his Hat-trick as the score stood 6-1.
In the final few minutes, Bryce scored a well deserved goal after converting a brilliant ball from Madan to make it 7-1.
Earlier, Union Bank of India scored a goal each through Valentine Pereira and Akshat Saptoj and went on to defeat Bank of India in another match.

Income Tax SC 7 (Sandesh Gadkari 3, Henderson Dias 3, Bryce Miranda) beat Central Railway 1 (Shabaz Pathan).
Union Bank of India 2 (Akshat Saptoj, Velentine Pereira) beat Bank of India 0.

Mumbai: Satya Vijaya SC put up a determined fighting performance and managed to record a narrow 3-2 win against a spirited Karnataka Amateurs SC in the second semi-final match of the 13th Late Adv. KudrollI Memorial knockout football tournament, organized by the Karnatak Sporting Association and played at the KSA ground, Cross Maidan.
In an interesting and keenly contested match, Satya Vijaya held a slight edge over Karnataka Amateurs and capitalized on the chances that came their way to emerge victors. For Satya Vijay striker Shrinath Suvarna netted a brace of goal and Rohan Salian chipped in with one to secure their win. Karnataka Amateurs who failed to convert all the opportunities managed to strike twice through Shravan Shetty and Riddic Carlos.
Satya Vijaya will meet Jaihind SC in the final.
Results – semi-finals: Satya Vijaya SC 3 (Shrinath Suvarna 2, Rohan Salian) beat Karnataka Amateurs SC 2 (Shravan Shetty, Riddic Carlos).
