Rishi Ailani’s brace for Ansh Travels torments Steadfast FC ‘B’

The Third division match held at Xavier’s ground Parel’s saw twoequally strong teams clash with each other. Ansh Travel faced Steadfast B and lost 2-0. The table toppers Ansh Travel or FeugoTormentos which they call themselves continue to remain at the top with their two goal win over Steadfast.
The match began with a spectacular goal in the 2nd minute itself. Not more than few passes were exchanged when Rishi Ailani attacked the Steadfastdefence. Little could be done by Jay Shah and Galwin Pereira, the Steadfast defenders as Rishi Ailani netted the first goal to put his team in to lead.
Steadfast’s, TalhaFaroque with assistance from Rohan and AkashApte created a moment of trouble for Ansh Travel. Even with a goal lead, the whole team looked in a mess.TalhaFaroque made the matters worse in the 16th minute by maintaining the ball possession and attacking Ansh Travel’s defence.
But players like UmairSayed showed integrity and the Ansh Travel were back on track in the 20th minute and soon the first half ended.
With the start of second half,Ansh Travel team attacked with full vigor as Rishi Ailani took the charge.
Steadfast suffered a major blow as Galwin Pereira fouled RishiAilani while he chipped the ball over his head him in an attempt to control the ball.
Rishi took the free kick and KahanPatil the steadfast goalkeeper tried his best to save the ballwhich he failed as the ball entered the top corner, as it was the 2nd Goal scored by Rishi.
Steadfast didn’t lose heart and kept on trying to score at least a goal. However, they couldn’t take advantage of the occasional defensive lapses by the Ansh Travel team. TalhaFaroque was the only respite as he strove hard to score for his team with the second half drawing to a close.
Ansh Travel would have easily been able to score their 3rd goal when Danny Rodrigues fumbled with the ball and AdilLakdawala rushed past him with the ball. Adil saw Ivan Fernandez running parallel to him and passed it to him. Unfortunately, he missed the chance as KahanPatil charged to collect the ball.
As the final whistle blew, Rishi Ailani had scored 2 goals for his side both within minutes of the first and the second half respectively and won the match with Steadfast B failing to score.
