MDFA: Desperados SC edge Bombay Gym in nine goal thriller

A high scoring game ended with Desperados SC edging Bombay Gym while in other 1st division game, Chheda Nagar Fanatic blanked Vidya Vikasini Theresians 4-0.

23rd December, 1st Division:

In an enthralling game, Desperados SC were given a run for their money as a late Bombay Gym fight back, was not enough for the latter to secure at least a point. The game began with Desperados attacking with the start as they opened the scoring in the very first minute through Rejoy Carvalho. Kishan Dubey and Roshan Karmaran added two more as Desperados had managed to find the net thrice within half hour of start.

However Bombay Gym soon launched a fight back with two goals to pull things into level terms as Yash Choudary amd Shahnawaz Khan were on mark to make it 3-3 ten minutes later. Soon, Desperados SC took the lead again four minutes later, Vishnu Memon slotted home a 44th minute strike to make it 4-3, but Bombay Gym once again scored the equaliser as Shahnawaz completed his brace. However a late goal from Kishan Dubey in the final quarter of the game gave Desperados the decisive win.

In other game, Chheda Nagar Fanatic completely outclassed their opponent with a dominating performance. Aditya and Hriday opened the scoring with quick early strike as the Fanatics raced to 2-goal lead within 6 minutes of the game. Hrisikesh then tripled the lead at the 45th minute strike before Shanson Paul finished off the game with the fourth strike of the evening.

22nd December, 2nd Division:

Tanmay puru scored an 18th minute goal to give SRS Sporting, a solitary goal win over The Sports Gurukul to reach the top spot in group B table with a two point lead over second placed Vision Rescue. For Sports Gurukul, it was a chance that went abegging as a win would have sent them to the top spot.

In other game, Mumbai Rush smashed three past Youth Soccer Academy to keep themselves among the group C leaders as they trail the two teams by just a point with 10 points. Krish Sharma, Madhav Modak and Mohammed Murad were on score-sheet as Mumbai Rush picked a comfortable three points.
