MSSA Round Up – 3rd August

To start off with the Azad Maidan for all the results from the MSSA 2016-17 League, a total of seven matches were played, six of them 1st division.

4 from Group A and the other 2 from Group B. And the last one being a 2nd division match.

Boys U-16, 1st Division, Group A
Campion School (A) (Cooperage) shared the spoils with St Joseph’s High School (Wadala) in a 0-0 draw.

Jamnabai Narsee School(A) (Juhu) emerged 2-0 victors over St Mary’s
High School(SSC) (Mazagaon) courtesy goals from Karan Dhanda and
Sahil Vaswani.

Another 0-0 followed the 2-0 win as Navy Children School (Colaba)
were held by Swami Vivekanand Int (Kandivali).

In the final Group A match, St Dominic Savio High School(Andheri) were given a win via walkover as Hansraj Mraji Public School(Andheri) failed to turn up for the match.

Boys U-16, 1st Division, Group B
Don Bosco High School(A) (Matunga) drew 0-0 against St Stanislaus High School ( Bandra).

St Lawrence High School (Kandivali) and St Mary’s High School (ICSE)(A) (Mazagaon) played out an entertaining 2-2 as the match was an edge of the set thriller. Gaurav Tupare and Rohit Rawat scored for St Lawrence. Joel George and Ansh Bhanushali scored for St Mary’s.

To close things on the day at the Azad Maidan, St Xavier’s High School (Fort) beat Colaba Mun.Secondary.School 1-0 as a result of the winning goal from Tejas Shinde in the 2nd Division Group A match.

It turned out to be a dull day in the MSSA league 2016-17 at the St Xavier’s ground in Parel. A total of only three fixtures were scheduled for the day! A quick look at what happened.

In the Boys U-16, 3rd Division Group A match, The Dadar Parsee Y.A drew 0-0 agaisnt the Bombay Scottish School(B) (Mahim).

The other 3rd Division Group A match was a walkover as MKVV Int Vidyalaya from Borivali failed to turn up against St Xavier’s High School from Borivali as well.

To round up the day, The 1st Division Group B match between Christ Church School ( Byculla) ended in a 0-0 draw against the Bombay Scottish School(A) (Mahim).
