Solitary strike from Adnan Ishke of Millat F.C. helped his team beat Byculla United 1-0

On the 27th of December 2015, Tuesday evening, Millat F.C. tussled against Byculla United in their Mumbai District Football Association (M.D.F.A) Super Division fixture at the Goans Sports Association ground.  As the referee Neri D’Souza blew the full-time whistle both sides were narrowly separated by a margin of 1-0 with a solitary goal from Millat F.C.’s no.22 Adnan Ishke in the 23rd minute of the game.

In the first-45 minutes of the match, both Millat F.C. and Byculla United enjoyed equally good chances throughout the chances, but Millat F.C. proved to have a cutting-edge, which saw them take a one-goal advanced into the second-half and through the full-time whistle

The first-half, in particular, saw both teams play cautiously with and without the ball, and as a result the first-half saw neither side willing to add the extra attacking-edge needed to convert the hatful of chances presented at either side’s disposal.

The deadlock broke in the 23rd minute of the game from Adnan Ishke as he scrappily converted from close-range to give his team a lead in the game, midway through the first-half. The goal at large did its trick to give Millat F.C. maximum points, but it couldn’t provide them with the platform to build-upon as Millat F.C. always looked trying to protect their solitary-goal lead, which on occasions came under severe threat and only a handful of timely sharp saves from Anas Ishke in the Millat F.C. goal kept them in the lead.

Into the second-half of the game and both sides kicked-off in fairly high spirits to score an early goal in the game to shift the momentum of the game in their favour, but it never happened as the 45 minutes of normal-time and a hefty 5 minutes of second-half added time concluded without goals.

The game over-all if it lacked in one particular aspect it surely would be the number of goals which were not scored by both teams whilst keeping in check the outstanding performances of the two goalkeepers in goal for either side.

The second-half of the game necessarily saw Byculla United coming agonizingly close to scoring on a total of 6 occasions, failing to convert any of them. Millat F.C. came closer to scoring their second-half stoppage-time twice, but some heroic goalkeeping kept Millat F.C. at bay as the math finished at 1-0 in favour of the men in Red and Black.
