by Chandler D'silva February 6, 2026

The match saw MYJ take on Mumbai Ultras in the Mumbai Premier League where MYJ are unbeaten so far and currently sit at the top of their group while Mumbai Ultras are just behind them in 2nd place and will look to get all 3 points and go top of the table with 6 matches played and securing 13 points with 4 wins, 1 Draw and 1 loss.

MYJ controlled the first half well while dominating attacks and the midfield as well. Crosses were flowing into the Ultras defence and were dealt with them well until the 14th minute where Ultras were caught on the counter and Kamran didn’t hesitate and finished it comfortably past the keeper to give MYJ an early breakthrough in the match. The Ultras attackers were pushing hard but couldn’t get shots on target to trouble the MYJ keeper which ended the half at a 1-0 advantage for the mighty lions.

The second half started with similar fashion as MYJ came out more eager to extend their lead but Ultras kept their shape well and looked to break on the counter as they brought on their leading goal scorer Sachin Bangera. In the 66th minute, Himanshu went on to convert a penalty that was initially won by Jay after the Ultras keeper got his judgement wrong and Himanshu took the penalty with ease to extend the lead to 2-0. Just two minutes later, Miit coming off the bench scored another stunner curling in to the net above the Ultras keeper to get a 3 goal advantage for MYJ. Mumbai Ultras didn’t show their A game today and were punished for it as Kamran got another one to complete his brace in the 86th minute and seal the game for MYJ with a 4-0 victory to remain on top of the table and extend their winning streak to 6.
