Bombay Gymkhana secure Strong Second-Half Comeback Against DK Flag Foundation
The Mumbai Premier League clash saw Bombay Gymkhana take on DK Flag Foundation in a tightly contested encounter, with both teams eager to secure important points. DK Flag Foundation came into the match with intent, while Bombay Gymkhana looked to impose themselves as the game progressed.
DK Flag Foundation started the first half on the front foot and caught the Bombay Gymkhana defence off guard early on. Their pressure paid off in the 12th minute when Shivum found the back of the net to give DK Flag Foundation a 1-0 lead. DK Flag continued to look composed for the rest of the half, closing spaces well and limiting Gymkhana’s chances as they went into the break with the advantage.
Bombay Gymkhana came out with renewed energy in the second half and began to push higher up the pitch. Their persistence was rewarded in the 59th minute when Amar finished clinically to bring the score level at 1-1. The goal lifted Gymkhana’s confidence as they continued to press for a winner.
As the match moved into the final stages, Bombay Gymkhana showed greater composure and control. In the 77th minute, Porus made the difference by calmly slotting home the decisive goal to complete the comeback and put Gymkhana in front. DK Flag Foundation tried to respond late on, but the Gymkhana defence stood firm to see out the game.
Bombay Gymkhana secured a well-earned 2-1 victory with a strong second-half performance, while DK Flag Foundation will look to take positives from their first-half display and bounce back in their upcoming matches.
