Punjab FC Dominate Inter Kashi with Convincing Three-Goal Display

Punjab FC delivered a commanding performance to secure a 3-0 victory over Inter Kashi FC in their Indian Super League 2025-26 clash at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on April 20.

The hosts set the tone early, controlling possession and creating chances with sharp attacking play. Bede Osuji played a key role in the opening stages, linking up well with Dani Ramírez and testing the Inter Kashi defence, though goalkeeper Lluis Tarrés made a couple of important saves to keep the scores level.

Punjab’s persistence eventually paid off in the 37th minute. A quick transition from midfield saw Osuji and Effiong Nsungusi Jr combine effectively inside the box, before the ball fell to Samir Zeljković, who calmly finished to give the hosts a deserved lead.

Inter Kashi attempted to respond before halftime but struggled to break through a well-organised Punjab defence, as the hosts carried their advantage into the break.

The second half began with Punjab tightening their grip on the game. A midfield error allowed Dani Ramírez to drive forward and set up Effiong Nsungusi Jr, who finished from close range to double the lead in the 51st minute.

Punjab continued to press and maintain control, limiting Inter Kashi’s attacking threat while remaining dangerous going forward. Their dominance was rewarded again in the 72nd minute when Osuji produced a brilliant turn inside the box before firing into the top corner to make it 3-0.

With the result effectively sealed, Punjab managed the closing stages comfortably, maintaining defensive discipline and denying Inter Kashi any clear opportunities. The hosts even came close to adding a fourth late on, striking the woodwork in stoppage time.

The victory lifts Punjab FC further up the table and strengthens their push towards the top half, while Inter Kashi will look to regroup after a difficult outing on the road.
