MYJ Make It Five in a Row with Win Over PIFA

by Chandler D'silva January 27, 2026

The match took place between MYJ and Pifa in the Mumbai Premier League where MYJ will look to extend their winning streak to 5 and Pifa will look to secure 3 points out of this fixture and get their winning momentum.

MYJ looked very confident in their attacks in the first half with Shamer twisting and turning on the left wing and sometimes cutting inside to grab a shot on goal. Pifa on the other hand were quite good on their counters as MYJ were attacking high and the counters were a wake up call for them. However, Shamer put the mighty lions in front with a calm finish past the keeper in to the net in the 37th minute. The first half ended with a 1-0 lead to MYJ.

The second half was more equally contested as both teams were looking to get a goal on for an equaliser and other other to extend their lead, until the 63rd minute as Arif Shaikh got his second goal for the season and also the second goal for MYJ to extend their lead to 2-0. Pifa looked quite solid as a team against an experienced side like MYJ but didn’t get the goals they needed and went down 2-0 while MYJ secured their 5th straight win in a row and keeping their 4th clean sheet with just 1 goal conceded in 5 matches which are insane stats for the I League 2 side.
