The clash of two powerhouses and an anticipated tie of group B where MYJ take on Mumbay FC in the Mumbai Premier League.

This will be one to watch out for as MYJ are currently top of their group while Mumbay FC breathe right behind their neck as MYJ would look to continue their winning streak of 6 out of 6 this season while Mumbay FC would be ready to spoil the party.

The mighty lions applied pressure on the Mumbay players from the first whistle and didn’t let them play easily with the ball. In just the 9th minute, Himanshu found the breakthrough with a finish into the net and take the lead for MYJ.

Through all the battles on the field and even after things got heated up between the two teams, MYJ managed to get another goal and this time through Kiran from a corner who headed it in to the net after it was flicked on to him by Shravan. With this, Mumbay FC went 2-0 down in to the half and a lot needed to do for them in the second half.

The second half saw Mumbay FC starting off well and putting some pressure on the MYJ players but they tackled the situations well and drew out of them and managed to put the pressure back on Mumbay FC.

Miit Adekar, that was brought on in the second half for MYJ came on and produced a moment of brilliance in the 70th minute with a stunning goal and continuing his impressive goal scoring form.

Things got even worse for Mumbay FC after Ashfak went on to head the ball into his own net which was a defensive error giving MYJ a 4-0 lead in the 78th minute. Just 2 minutes later, Pratham Ghatnur coming off the bench got his goal through a messy finish which took the score to 5-0 in favour of MYJ.

To just put the icing on the cake, Tannmay Talgaonkar got his reward as well in the 90+1 minute and ended his drought of scoring after 6 matches and secured a massive victory for the mighty lions.

This victory for MYJ clears them at the top of their group with a good lead and another clean sheet for them makes it 6 clean sheets in 7 matches and continuing their winning streak while Mumbay FC had the opportunity to close down the gap but didn’t make the most out of it and also they did miss key players in this fixture and will look to get back in their upcoming matches.
