ICL Snatch Victory from the Jaws of Defeat with Stunning Finish

by Chandler D'silva February 12, 2026

The Mumbai Premier League saw MSP take on ICL in what was an exciting fixture to look forward to where MSP would look to make it three wins in a row for the newly promoted side and ICL after just getting their first win of the season would look to get the same result in this one as well.

Both teams gave a tough fight in the centre of the pitch in the first half in which play could flow either side anytime. All eyes were on Muneeb once again to get the breakthrough having scored 4 goals in their last 2 games and no doubt the player to watch out for in this fixture. The first half was gritty and consisted of no goals from either team.

MSP started the second half with the sole intention of taking the lead and pushed hard for it by committing players foward in order to get the breakthrough. In the 55th minute, the person expected to score did just that as Muneeb once again on the scoresheet gave MSP the breakthrough they needed and were on track to make it 3 wins in a row as it stands. ICL didn’t loose hope there as their defence kept launching long balls for their attackers to chase down which made life difficult for MSP. In the 2nd minute of the 90th ICL got the equaliser after the ball was deflected by Vinay from the MSP defence from a cross in to the box. The story didn’t end there as in the 90+4 minute Sandeep waiting in the box headed the cross that came in the box past the keeper and turned the whole game around securing an unbelievable comeback for ICL.

This stunning comeback from ICL made it 2 wins in a row for them and spoilt the party for MSP and putting a stop to their winning track that could extend to 3 wins in a row.
