by Chandler D'silva December 30, 2025

The match saw Mumbai Soccer Prodigies take on MYJ in the Mumbai Premier League. MSP are coming off a loss in their first match vs Millat FC and will look to get their first win of the season while MYJ started off the season well with a comfortable 5-0 victory in their first match and will look to continue with the same momentum.

The first half kicked off with MYJ already on the front foot pushing for an early lead. Their front man Himanshu Patil kept the pressing the MSP defence in search of a goal. 13 minutes in to the match he got his reward and gave MYJ the lead. MSP kept loosing possession of the ball and MYJ were looking to capitalise on those mistakes. MYJ being in the lead didn’t stop them from attacking and delivering dangerous balls into the box while MSP were looking to break on the counter. The first half ended and the only deference was Himanshu.

The second half kicked off with Miit Adekar coming on which happened in the last match as well where he got his hattrick after coming on. MYJ kept putting pressure from both wings and the right wing got the reward first with Miit Adekar once again getting his goal after coming on and giving MYJ a 2 goal lead in the 65th minute. MSP were looking for a goal back desperately and got a few chances as well but failed to work the keeper. Meanwhile, new signing Pratham Ghatnur came on and got another one for MYJ making it 3-0 in the 75th minute. The goals didn’t stop there as Miit Adekar got his second of the evening in the 81st minute taking the score board to 4-0. MSP’s defence gave it their all but MYJ kept causing problems and got another goal once again through Miit Adekar who is in flying form making it 5 goals for him in 2 matches and making it 5-0 for MYJ. Just when the game was coming to an end Shamer Swamy stepped in and put the cherry on top in the 90th minute to make it a statement 6-0 victory for MYJ.

MSP will have to look back on their performance today and rework their strategies and come back stronger in the new year.
