Hat-Trick Hero Miit Adekar Powers MYJ to Dominant MPL Win

by Chandler D'silva December 26, 2025

The match took place between MYJ vs CFCI in the Mumbai Premier League season 2025-26. This will be MYJ’s first match of the season and will look to start off with a bang and it was CFCI’s second game of the season after a walkover that was handed over to them in their first match.

The first half saw MYJ dominate more of ball possession while moving the ball around nicely and creating some good chances. Even after so many chances the CFCI defence stood strong especially the CFCI keeper who made some important saves to keep CFCI in the game. CFCI attempted a few attacks but didn’t really work the keeper with those attacks. At the end of the same first half the score remained 0-0 with MYJ creating the better chances but failed to convert and CFCI not really testing the MYJ keeper.

The second half began with a bang as MYJ started with the same intensity that they had in the first half and got their reward through their new signing Miit Adekar who came on in the second half and got his goal minutes after coming on which also makes it his first goal for MYJ and for this season. CFCI were trying to push for an equaliser but MYJ kept moving the ball nicely which made it difficult for CFCI to keep up. However, MYJ doubled their lead just minutes later through Himanshu as he converted the penalty calmly. MYJ didn’t stop their attacking dominance and got their third goal of the game scored by Shravan Shetty. CFCI tried to get a few passes together and attack but the MYJ players were quick on pressing. They however went on to get another goal again through Miit Adekar who with this completed his brace in the 71st Minute. Just a few minutes later Miit secured his Hat- Trick in the 73rd minute and his first for the season on his debut for MYJ in the MPL, a landmark to remember for the young lad. With this MYJ secured their first victory of the MPL season 2025-26 with a dominant 5-0 display.

CFCI will take a look back and will have to work on what didn’t work out for them and come back harder in their upcoming matches.
