The Mumbai Premier League saw Millat FC take on Mumbay FC in the match that had high potential for intensity. Mumbay FC have started the season well with a 3-0 win in their season opener and also Millat FC have started their season with 2 wins in their opening 2 matches without conceding. Both teams will look to maintain their form this season.

The first half was equally poised with both teams staying strong on the ball. Mumbay FC started the game well with more attacks and through balls which made it difficult for the Millat defence to deal with. However they later went on to break the deadlock in the 7th minute through Shreyas Vatekar who gave Mumbay FC an early advantage into the match. Millat FC on the other hand had a few good attacking movies but failed to work the Mumbay defence. Mumbay FC didn’t stop their attacks and got rewarded again in the 43rd minute as Parag Dhanur finished it into an open net after the Millat defence didn’t handle the situation well. This put Mumbay FC ahead at the end of the first half.

The second half saw Millat FC trying to push for a comeback but the Mumbay defence cleared the danger through Bipin Rawat being the backbone. The match was quiet intense with both teams looking to get the better of each other which led to a red card for Tousif Malik for a foul in his second warning after he had already received a yellow card early on. Millat FC were looking to capitalise on this setback for Mumbay but couldn’t do so and were nerfed with another goal by Mandeep Singh in the 67th minute who converted the penalty which was won by their Left Wing Tiger Shroff with a handball on the Millat FC defender which took the score to 3-0. The goals didn’t stop there as there came another one but this time by Millat FC who were looking to get themselves back into the game as they netted one back through Sohail Khatri in the 71st Minute. The Millat celebration didn’t last long as Mumbay FC got their 4th goal once again through Parag Dhanur who got his brace as well. After a lot of pushing and tackles Millat FC got another one through once again Sohail in the 89th who also completed his brace this match with Parag but it was a little to late for Millat FC to think of a comeback.

With this Mumbay FC take away the victory and remain undefeated in a game full of tackles and fouls. Millat FC have been handed their first defeat of the season and will look to comeback in form once again
