MH Oranje FC Cruise to Second Straight Win with Dominant Display Against Bombay Gymkhana
The match in the Mumbai Premier League 25-26 saw MH Oranje FC take on Bombay Gymkhana. Bombay Gymkhanas previous 2 games have both been losses. They will look to get a positive result here while Oranje FC have started the season with a 3-0 win vs DK Flag Foundation and will look to continue the momentum.
The first half was dominated mostly by Oranje FC with more ball possession and also more attacking threats. They kept pushing from the wings with dangerous crosses into the Bombay Gymkhana box but their defence cleared them. On the other hand Bombay Gymkhana were forced to defend and were looking to attack on the counter and almost succeeded a few times. Oranje kept their attacking runs coming and was rewarded in the 27th minute as a dangerous corner from Khatib was misjudged by the Bombay Gymkhana Ranjeev and was punched straight into the net giving Oranje a well deserved lead. Bombay Gymkhana also had a few chances with one of them hitting the crossbar. Oranje continued their through ball runs and got an another Goal through Chrispin in the 40th minute with a calm finish putting Oranje 2-0 ahead at the break.
The second half started off the same way as the first with Oranje looking to take a comfortable seat in the game but Bombay Gymkhana didn’t make it easy for them. Oranje however looked even more dangerous on the wings especially with Khatib on the right wing where his dribbling kept the defenders on their toes and in which he won his team a penalty with a foul on him inside the box. Khatib himself stepped up to take the penalty and missed it in the first attempt but converted the goal on the rebound after it was saved by the Bombay Gymkhana keeper making it 3-0 in the 59th minute. Bombay Gymkhanas attacking was not up to the mark which costed them and led to another goal again with a dangerous run and a through ball into Dipu Neupane who took it round the keeper and finished it with ease taking the score to 4-0 in the 83rd minute to seal the victory for Oranje FC with a clean sheet in their second consecutive match while Bombay Gymkhana have been handed their 3rd defeat in their last 3 matches.
Oranje FC will look to continue their winning streak while Bombay Gymkhana will need to come back on track.
