Mumbai Super League 2025-26: Tentative Group Draws are Out

Mumbai Super League 2025-26

The countdown to the much-awaited Mumbai Football Season 2025-26 has officially begun, following the announcement of the tentative group stage draw for the Mumbai Super League.

A total of 46 teams will battle for the prestige and pride of promotion to the top tier of Mumbai’s football, the Mumbai Premier League.

The upcoming season will build on the incredible action of the 2024-25 campaign, which saw Mumbai Soccer Prodigies crowned champions after a nail-biting playoff finish. In a memorable season that showcased the city’s emerging talent, Mumbai Soccer Prodigies, along with runners-up Waves FC and Mumbai Ultras FC, earned well-deserved promotions to the top-tier – Mumbai Premier League. Despite a valiant playoff performance, Brothers Football Welfare narrowly missed out on promotion and will be a formidable contender in this season’s Super League, looking to make a strong comeback.

The 2024-25 season was a true goal-fest, featuring a remarkable 247 matches where a stunning 1,101 goals were scored, averaging an impressive 4.46 goals per game. The season, which involved a total of 45 teams, saw its most lopsided victory in an 18-0 win for Anstrengung United over Spartans on December 14, 2024. From start to finish, the league delivered an onslaught of attacking football, culminating in Mumbai Soccer Prodigies’ title win, propelled by a hat-trick from their top scorer Nihal Colaco in the decisive final match.

For the 2025-26 season, a total of 46 teams will battle it out across four challenging groups. Among the 46 teams are four newly promoted sides from the MFA First Division 2024-25, who will join 42 returning teams from the previous Super League campaign.
