MYJ-GM Back in Form with Dominant 3-0 Win Over MH Oranje FC

Defending champions MYJ-GM bounced back in style with a commanding 3-0 victory over MH Oranje FC, climbing to fourth place in the league standings. The Mighty Lions made a blistering start, netting twice within the first ten minutes, with Keegan Periera playing a pivotal role in all 3 goals.

In the 3rd minute, Keegan found Jay Bhavnani in space, who threaded a precise through ball to Abhijit Tawhare. The forward timed his run to perfection, breaking the offside trap and finishing clinically to put MYJ in front. Moments later, Keegan delivered a pinpoint cross into the box, where Umesh rose highest to head home, doubling MYJ’s lead.

The champions continued their dominance and sealed the game before halftime. Siddharth’s well-delivered corner found Keegan at the far post, who smartly headed it across goal for Abhijit to tap in his second of the night. Oranje showed some attacking intent in the second half, but MYJ’s defense held firm, with Paramjeet securing another clean sheet. With this win, MYJ now sits just four points behind the league leaders with a game in hand.

Mumbai City Stun Mumbay FC in a Five-Goal Thriller

Mumbai City FC secured a crucial 3-2 victory over Mumbay FC, earning their first win of the Championship Round. The defeat dealt a major blow to Mumbay’s title aspirations, as they dropped to eighth place, now six points behind the league leaders.

Despite dominating possession in the first half, Mumbay failed to capitalize on their chances. The second half started disastrously for them as they conceded a penalty, which Omkar Talkar converted with composure. Mumbay responded quickly when Rakshith’s pass found substitute Parag who smashed a brilliant shot to level the game at 1-1.

However, Mumbai City restored their lead when Arsh delivered a perfect free-kick to the far post, where an unmarked Harsh Patil headed home. Moments later, City won another penalty, and this time, skipper Sayyam Desai stepped up, extending their lead to 3-1. Mumbay fought back with a late goal from Regan in stoppage time, but in the final moments despite continous pressure, Mumbai City’s backline and goalkeeper Harsh Kadam stood strong, including a dramatic goal-line clearance to preserve their lead.

Kalina Rangers Edge CFCI in Hard-Fought 2-1 Victory

Kalina Rangers secured a 2-1 win over CFCI in a well-contested encounter. The game’s opening goal came in 22nd minute and was a brilliantly worked move, as Al Azhar delivered a precise pass from the left wing to captain Johnson D’silva, who lifted the ball over the defense for Asad Munshi to finish clinically.

Shoiab Baig doubled Kalina’s lead in a scrappy goalmouth exchange before halftime. CFCI, despite their struggles, showed resilience in the second half, hitting the post twice before finally pulling one back. Substitute Raul Almeida’s free-kick struck the crossbar before rolling into the net, setting up an intense finale. However, Kalina’s defense held firm to secure all three points.

The Mumbai Premier League continues to deliver thrilling contests as the race for the title intensifies.
