Maharashtra Olympic Games: Mumbai Girls’ reaches finals; Boys to play for Bronze

Mumbai Girls reach the finals of the competition while Boys suffered a close loss to host Pune in their respective semifinal encounters of the Maharashtra Olympic Games

The semifinals of the Football competition at the Maharashtra Olympic Games have seen some exciting matches and notable results.

In the Girls’ competition, Mumbai earned their spot in the finals with a 2-0 victory over Kolhapur. An own goal from a Kolhapur player and a goal from Bhumika Mane helped secure the win for Mumbai. They will face off against Pune, who defeated Palghar 4-0 in the other semifinal.

The Boys’ competition saw a closely contested matchup between Mumbai and host team Pune. In the end, Pune emerged victorious with a 2-1 win, thanks to goals from Romario Nazareth and Narsimha Mamgam. Pune will advance to the finals for the second year in a row, where they will face Kolhapur, who beat Nagpur 3-0 in the other semifinal.
