A second half hat-trick from Laxman Singh gives ICL Mumbai a comfortable 5-0 win over Sellebrity FC in Mumbai Premier League encounter

In a clash between Sellebrity FC and ICL Mumbai FC, the game unfolded with a steady start in the first half, where both sides cautiously played the waiting game. Despite their efforts, neither team managed to create concrete opportunities in the final third, resulting in a goalless scoreline at the break.

The second half, however, saw an escalation in the action. In the 50th minute, Loukik Jadhav unleashed a powerful long-range shot that beat the Sellebrity keeper, giving ICL Mumbai the lead. Shortly after, in the 55th minute, an attacking move from the left wing led to a save by Sellebrity’s keeper Balaram Das, but a subsequent melee in the box allowed Laxman Singh to find the net, doubling the lead.

Minutes later, another left-wing attack by ICL Mumbai resulted in Krish Adhikari’s cross finding Ishaq Shaikh, who calmly tapped in to make it 3-0. Sellebrity tried to counter, with Ayub Qureshi attempting a shot from outside the box, but it narrowly missed the target.

In the 68th minute, a defensive mistake in clearance gifted a loose ball to ICL Mumbai’s Laxman Singh, who capitalized on the opportunity to score his second and make it 4-0. Sellebrity faced further challenges when, in the 80th minute, Prakash Sahani received a red card for a rash foul, reducing them to 10 men.

Despite being a man down, Sellebrity continued to push forward. Ayub Qureshi and substitute Sahil Khushalani combined on the left wing, with Sahil taking a shot from the edge of the box that narrowly missed the target.

In the closing stages, ICL Mumbai secured a convincing 5-0 victory as Laxman Singh completed his hat-trick with a header from a corner. With this win, ICL Mumbai climbed to 2nd place in the league table with 12 points from 7 games, while Sellebrity FC remained in 11th spot will be looking to bounce back in the upcoming fixtures.
