In a highly anticipated clash between two teams expected to challenge for title, Maharashtra Oranje FC and Iron Born FC battled for supremacy in the Mumbai Premier League.

Iron Born entered the game unbeaten in four fixtures, showcasing a solid track record of two wins and two draws. On the other hand, Oranje had secured two victories, a draw, and a loss, setting the stage for a crucial showdown to determine their standings.

First Half Drama:
The game kicked off with a bang, and Oranje wasted no time making an impact. In the 3rd minute, Sanchit Singh showcased his goal-scoring prowess, breaking the deadlock with a clinical finish. A good transition of moves from defence to midfield led to Aashish Lalge slipping the ball forward between two defenders for Sanchit Singh who gets the ball past the onrushing keeper before finding the net to break the deadlock.

As the first half unfolded, Sanchit Singh once again stole the spotlight with a moment of brilliance. In a remarkable display of skill, Singh doubled Oranje’s lead, executing an audacious chip over the Iron Born keeper. The teams headed into halftime with Oranje enjoying a comfortable 2-0 advantage.

The substitute unleashed a stunning sshot from approximately 35 yards out to find the net, widening the goal margin.

Five minutes later, in the 70th minute, Aimar Adams joined the scoring party, courtesy of a well-timed assist from Sanchit Singh. Adams showcased his composure in front of goal, navigating past defenders to slot the ball into the net, further solidifying Oranje’s dominance.

Despite Oranje’s relentless pursuit of goals, Iron Born managed to avoid further damage when Sanchit Singh’s penalty attempt was denied. The game eventually concluded with a resounding 4-0 victory for Maharashtra Oranje FC.
