Know about the AIFF’s new Football Management course

Mr. Praful Patel, President, All India Football Federation commenced the virtual session of the first batch of the AIFF Masters Programme in an online meeting on Thursday (July 9, 2020).

A one of kind opportunity for young graduates who want to pursue Sports Management as a Post graduate, if Football is your love then AIFF’s new Football Masters Course is the one to check out.

AIFF has officially launched its Football Management Program in partnership with Spanish 2nd Division side Cadiz CF that will see students study in three different cities over the course of a year

The program intends to provide hands-on experiential training on every aspect of football through live tournament exposure (students will be heavily involved during the FIFA U20 World Cup in November- December), match staging, clubs and team management, data management and analysis, leadership and project management skills, contractual and legal obligations, sponsorship marketing and business communication.

The one year program will span across three different cities – Mumbai, New Delhi and Cadiz (Spain). Students will have access to world class faculty including 1 month interactions with Spanish 2nd division side Cadiz CF, where they will live and work for a period of 1 month, they will get to interact with the Club’s President, Clubs Corporate and Business Director and former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas. In addition to this, the students will also be studying Spanish language – one of the official FIFA Languages.

The Program will run from July 2020 to March 2021 after which students will be offered to work on internship for a period of 3 months before the final placements in July.

Admission to the course is through a Common Admission Test (CAT) which will be conducted by the AIFF to assess candidates’ basic knowledge and aptitude in football. The first round of exam is scheduled on 23rd February 2020; candidates will have the opportunity to choose their own Centre. CAT cleared selected candidates would then be called for an personal Interview round before the final admission letter is offered.

To clear the air about the masters course, AIFF is conducting information sessions through out the country in the month of February. The dates of the sessions are as following
