India Khelo Football Final leg of Mumbai Phase to be held at Chembur
After Mulund and Kurla leg, the final and last leg of Mumbai Phase of India Khelo Football tournament will be held at Chembur this Sunday.
Sixteen Under 14 teams will battle it out to win the coveted Winner’s trophy. Earlier the tournament had seen Ambitious FA lifting the trophy at both Mulund and Kurla leg of Mumbai Phase. At the end of the 3rd leg, special awards have been kept for Winners, Top scorer, Top Goal Keeper and Best Player.
India Khelo Football’s team will start their Maharashtra Tour from March onwards to hold similar tournament in 7 other cities in the state. Kolhapur, Pune, Nagpur, Gondia, Nashik, Thane, and Palghar are the 7 selected districts.
Winners of all 3 legs of Mumbai will get to play against 7 other city winners on 15th August. From the final edition, few players will book themselves an all expenses paid trips to Europe where they will be giving trials for various clubs.
India Khelo Football initiative aims to get kids on field to play football in a competitive environment with the core idea of offering opportunities, spotting the talents and providing them the right platform to excel.
